Reflections is a chance to turn that spark of creativity into something they can proudly call their own.

Who Can Participate? All Matsumoto students!!
Join the division that matches your grade
Primary: Pre-K–Grade 2
Intermediate: Grades 3–5
Students with disabilities who receive IDEA or 504 services may also qualify for the Accessible Arts Division.
Choose a Genre: Students may submit ORIGINAL entries in one or more categories:
Visual Arts: Drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, crafts, digital art, ceramics, and more.
Photography: Original color or black-and-white photography.
Literature: Poetry, short story, essay, drama, or prose.
Film Production: Animation, narrative film, documentary, experimental film, or multimedia.
Dance Choreography: Original choreography in any dance style.
Music Composition: Original student-created music in any style.
What Every Entry Needs
New, original student-created work for this year’s theme.
Unique title and 10–100 word artist statement.
Correct file type, size, length, and category requirements.
Credits for music or other required sources, when applicable.
Key Rules to Remember
Artwork, title, and statement must be the student’s own work.
Parents may encourage and help with logistics, but not create or improve the work.
One student artist per entry; group submissions are not accepted.
Generative AI/templates/stock graphics cannot be the primary concept or design.
